<description>It clearly has to be Cedric Benson. 5 years at 35 million. I am not sure how it breaks down or how much his signing bonus was, but also take into account that a number 4 pick was wasted on him, he was the cause of a major turnover in the super bowl, led to the trade of our best offensive weapon, and all around has been like a plague to this organization. He was asked his senior year in college if he would rather beat arch rival Oklahoma or win the Heisman and he chose to win the Heisman. In poker this statement is a tell, but Angelo is a sucker, and thought he was a re-incarnate of Earl Campbell. I find it hard to blame Lovie, he is loyal and that is what makes him a great coach. But, until the marriage of Angelo and Benson are both out of Halas Hall, we will continue to have crap on offense. Here are a few players drafted after Benson that would have been such a much better choice: Shawn Merrimen and DeMarcus Ware, however both aren't great fits into what the Bears do on defense, Antrell Rolle and Carlos Rogers, even though corner is a major strength of the team, I have never heard a GM say shoot, we have to get ride of someone of these guys that is covering all these wide outs, Cadillac Williams, Thomas Davis, Derrick Johnson, Alex Barron... the list goes on. Maybe even Pacman Jones, well maybe not. Atleast he is a good football player though. Thanks for your time.
